1. Definition. In this Privacy policy: 

• “Affiliate” is an entity that belongs to the CACD group.

• “Personal data” means any information or set of information by which someone could identify you as a specific, identifiable individual. Personal data does not include data that is encoded or anonymized.

• “Non-personal data” collectively refers to all information we collect that is not Personal data, including usage data, demographic data and de-identified Personal data.

• “User information” is your Personal data, and Non-personal data collectively.

2. Application of this Privacy policy. The following services are subject to this Privacy policy: (a) our entire spectrum of services; (b) site, applications, and online services; (c) conferences, contests, events, enrolment, empanelment, membership, or surveys; and (d) awards programs offered by us. 

3. Consent for the collection and use of Personal data and your rights. By using the Services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your Personal data and accept the terms outlined in this Privacy policy. Nonetheless, you retain the right to revoke any consent related to the processing of your personal data at any time, effective immediately upon withdrawal. You have the option to request corrections to your personal data. You may also request the deletion of your personal data if:

4. Data collection and its use. We may collect different types of information from or about you, including (a) Personal data; and (b) Non-personal data.

(A) Personal data. Your Personal data is collected to facilitate your use of our Services, gauge consumer interest, keep you informed about events, offers, and updates, resolve issues, tailor your experience, identify and safeguard against errors, fraud, and other criminal activities, uphold our terms and conditions, fulfil regulatory requirements and reporting, and as otherwise communicated to you during the information collection process. • We collect data that you provide on registration or signing up, and data you provide on third party’s site(s) engaged by us for specific purpose/event[s] that is transferred to us, like your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, age, gender, country and other similar data.

• Uses or may use “cookies” for a variety of purposes including tracking usage to managing services. Cookies enable us to understand how often visitors are visiting our Site, where they are coming from, the specific pages visited, user preferences etc. Cookies are also used for estimating audience size for sponsors and advertisers, for marketing purposes to display advertising and offerings that are relevant to your interests, and to control how often you see some advertising messages. They also help provide us with aggregated auditing, research, and reporting, and know when content has been shown to you. Additionally, for some of the functions within our Services we link to third party website, who may collect anonymous data about your visits to Site using cookies, and interaction with CACD Services. • Tracks Data’ that is not personal in nature, such as web browser and operating system details, browsing habits, demographical and geographic data or other similar data may be logged and used to analyze and extrapolate data about general user behavior within the CACD website. Such extrapolations and statistics may be made public, however, they cannot be tracked to individual users. IP addresses are not linked to anything that can help identify the user. Neither are IP addresses, except in rare occasions, handed out to the service providers or third parties.

This Privacy Policy pertains solely to information gathered through the Services and direct communications between you and us. It does not encompass any information collected through other means, such as when you call, write, or communicate with us in any way outside of the Services.

5. Sharing of data about you. In the good faith, belief, and scope of the law, we may disclose your Personal data, Non-Personal data, or ser information to third parties who have agreed to process the information in accordance with our instructions and provide appropriate technical or other support if such disclosure is reasonably necessary in the discharge of their duties. • Affiliates. Where it is necessary for the efficient provision of Services and the most productive use of our resources.

If you choose to register, we may share your data with parties those who govern the Events as well as for administrative purposes and as required by law. CACD, its affiliates and subsidiaries are not responsible for the collection, use and disclosure practices of third-party’s.

• Transfer of Ownership. In the event we go through a transition, whether in whole or in part, in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, reorganization, or other change of ownership or control, your Personal data will likely be among the assets transferred. By providing your Personal data, you agree that we can transfer such data in those circumstances without your further consent. Should a transition occur, we will make reasonable efforts to request that the new owner or combined entity (as applicable) follow this Privacy policy with respect to your Personal data. 

• Government agencies or other third parties as authorized by applicable law. Applicable law may require us and our service providers to disclose your data if reasonably necessary to comply with a legal process, such as a court order, government investigation or other requirements necessary for the prevention or detection of crime. 7. External links. The Services contain links to other websites that we do not control, and the advertising and other content hosted and served by third parties. This Privacy policy applies to your use of the CACD’s Services located at www.cacdindia.in  and does not apply to websites that may be accessible from external links provided in various pages of this Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party. References on this Site to any names, marks, products or services of third parties or hyperlinks to third party websites or data are provided solely for your convenience and do not in any way constitute or imply our endorsement, sponsorship or recommendation of the third party, data, product or service. We recommend you read the Privacy policies on all such third-party websites.

8. Security. We take every possible precaution to ensure that your Personal data is safe and secure. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal data from unauthorized access. Our measures to protect your Personal data, primarily include:

• Restricting access of your Personal data to our employees, consultants, agents, service providers, third party and/or similar entities those who have a legitimate need to know the data in order to perform;
• Reviewing our data collection, storage and processing practices;

9. Locus of Services and consent to transfer. We are based in the India and offer services irrespective of territorial boundaries. Be it advised, if you are located in a jurisdiction otherwise, the data that you provide to us may be transferred to, stored and processed in the India and by our service providers and third-parties, that are based in other countries, as the case may be. Therefore, your Personal data may be processed outside your jurisdiction, and in countries that are not subject to adequate regulation, and that may not provide for the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction. Recognizing that privacy is important, we insists the recipient of your Personal data to offer an adequate level of protection. CACD adheres to all applicable Indian law. You also understand that the Indian government can obtain access to the Personal data you submit if necessary for investigative purposes.

The Effective Date at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. When we post changes to this policy, we will revise the ‘last updated’ date at the top of this document. To make sure you are aware of any changes, please review this policy periodically. Any changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Privacy policy unless otherwise specified. If you do not wish to permit changes in our use of your Personal data, you must notify us promptly that you wish to deactivate your account with us.
